Mr. Winsett Thomas

Chairman of the Board & Chairman HR Committee

Mr. Thomas comes to MoneyMasters Limited with over twenty-four (24) years of Human Resource Development experience with approximately twenty-three (23) of those years in the specific area of Industrial Relations. Mr. Thomas holds a MBA in Human Resource Management from U.W.I – Mona School of Business and BSc (Hons.) at the University of the West Indies. Mr. Thomas is also a Justice of the Peace.

Ms. Claudette Crooks

Director, President MoneyMasters Limited

Claudette Crooks has thirty (30) years’ experience in the financial services industry with twenty (20) years in Senior Management positions. Her work experience spans the Capital Markets, with experience in the fixed income, equities and corporate finance markets. Her initial experience in the financial industry was with the commercial banking sector. Claudette Crooks is known to have conceptualized, opened and successfully operated her own investment firm, Investment Masters Limited that was later sold to Guardian Holdings Limited.

She conceptualized and co-founded Today’s Money Limited, a financial information firm. Claudette Crooks now commits her experience and passion for investing to MoneyMasters Limited, a money management firm. Claudette Crooks holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of the West Indies and a BSc. in Management Studies from the same institution. Her qualifications also includes a number of industry specific courses spanning asset management, securities trading and portfolio management.

Mr. Christopher Robinson

Chief Operating Officer

Christopher Robinson has been a finance industry professional for more than twenty-five (25) years. He has served as a director of COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union Limited for over twenty-one (21) years and served as treasurer since 2008 until his appointment as secretary in 2013. Chris brings to MoneyMasters Limited his broad experience in the financial sector which spans being a financial analyst with the Office of the Superintendent of Insurance and Country Manager of CUNA Mutual Group in Jamaica. He has also served as a Human Resource Development Officer (HRDO) and teaches Accounts and Management related subjects.

Christopher was educated at the University of the West Indies where he gained his Bachelors of Science Degree in Management Studies and later successfully read for a Masters Degree in Accounting and Finance. He also holds the Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation from the Life Office Management Association (LOMA) in Atlanta, Georgia.

A service oriented individual, he has been President of the Kiwanis Club of Kingston, President of the Life Insurance Companies Association of Jamaica, Honorary Trustee and Treasurer of the Jamaica Medical Foundation. He has also been the Chairman of the Jamaica Co operatives Insurance Agency Limited since 2012.

Mrs. Carrol Miller

Director, Marketing Committee Chairperson

Mrs. Carrol Miller brings to the Board of MoneyMasters Limited 37 years of experience in management having successfully owned and operated her own business since the mid-eighties. She is a teacher by training and is a graduate of the Mico Teachers College. She currently chairs the Marketing Committee of the Board.

Mr. Kevin Richards

Director, Chair of Fixed Income Committee

Mr. Richards is the Chief Executive Officer of Kingston Properties Limited where he is tasked with driving the strategic objectives of the company and maximizing shareholders’ value. His career spans over 20 years of experience in the areas of media, investment management and real estate. He is a former Senior Director at Investments at Jamaica’s National Insurance Fund, a multi-billion dollar government controlled pension scheme and has held senior executive positions with leading investment houses in Jamaica. He holds a B.A. in Spanish and Economics from the University of the West Indies; an M.A. in Economics from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada; a certificate from the Canadian Securities Institute and successfully completed the Real Estate Salesman course from University of Technology in Jamaica. He currently chairs the Real Estate Board of Jamaica and the Commission of Strata Corporations and chairs the Finance Committee of both institutions and is a member of the Developer’s Application and Audit Committees. He is also a Commissioner of the Financial Services Commission since August 2017.

Mr. Hugh Campbell

Finance & Compliance Manager

Hugh has thirty-three (33) years of combined experience in the fields of External & Internal Audits, Accounting and Financial Management across several dominant industries. His work experience saw him heading large finance and accounts departments, as well as handling the finance and cash flow management on large technical projects. Hugh is also a Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Technology. Hugh has attained ACCA level 3 P2 Corporate Accounting and AAT certification among others.

Mr. Ewan Shaw

Director, Chair of Audit & Governance Committee

Mr. Shaw is a Caribbean regional expert practitioner and academic in the areas of loan administration, credit analysis, financial management and collection techniques.
He has over twenty-six years in the financial sector of which twenty was spent in the area of credit administration. He is a Certified Wealth Manager(CWM), Certified Risk Analyst(CRA) and a distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Financial Managers (FAAFM).
Mr. Shaw has comfortably combined the practice of credit administration with academia and has been a course lecturer and co-ordinator in the Lending, Securities and Financial Management modules at the University of Technology, Jamaica, College of Business and Management (COBAM). He is also a facilitator on the UTECH MBA and JSE on-line Post Graduate Diploma programmes. Mr. Shaw currently sits on the Academic Review Committee of the JSE.
Mr. Shaw is also a member of the COK Sodality Cooperative Credit Union Ltd (COK) board of directors, where he serves as treasurer.

Mr. Michael McNaughton

Director, Chair of MMREIF Board of Directors, Information Technology Committee and Equity Committee

 

A results-oriented senior executive with over 30 years experience in the financial technology services (FinTech) sector including digital and retail payment services, business and product development, strategic planning, project management, portfolio and treasury management, financial planning, and equities trading and analysis, business appraisals, reorganizations and placements. Included executive/corporate exposure in Canada, Jamaica and the Caribbean.

Mr. Dennis Hickey

Director

Dennis is a Director of MoneyMasters Limited. He is a trained economist with an M.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University s Graduate Program in Economic Development which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar. He brings more than 20 years of experience in business development, marketing financial services and operations management to MoneyMasters Limited, having held leadership positions at COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union, Dyoll Caribbean Financial Services Ltd and Leder Mode Ltd. Dennis also holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Technology Jamaica, and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), England.
